Hello Friends… The special day for LOVE is approaching soon, have you started creating your Valentines? If not, I’m sharing a simple but pretty design that’s easy to reproduce multiples for those special “someone’s” in your life!

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set: Heartfelt #151417
  • Cardstock: Basic White #159276, Real Red #102482, Basic Black #121045
  • Ink: Real Red #147084
  • Miscellaneous: True Love Designer Series Paper #154281, Curvy Dies #154319, Heart Punch Pack #151292, Detailed Bands #149549

Instructions for the ‘Die Cut Gatefold’:

Cut a 5 1/2 x 11 Real Red cardstock panel, score at 3 3/4 and 8. Fold on the score lines and burnish the folds. Open the folded card on your die cutting platform. Center the ‘Curvy Die’, and tape it into place with the cutting blade up.

Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 ‘True Love Designer Series’ paper panel. Center the paper in the opened card and tape it into place over the top of the ‘Curvy Die’. Close both sides of the card front (over the die and paper), run through die cut machine. Ta da, each side match perfectly together including the Designer Paper. (Note: A slight amount of trimming needed on ‘one’ side of the designer papers to fit).

Die cut a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Basic White panel using the ‘Detailed Band Dies’. Adhere the die cut to a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Basic White panel. Trim the Whisper White panel to the edge of the die cut.

Stamp the dotted heart frame and sentiment in Real Red ink on a 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 Basic White cardstock. Punch the heart using the plain heart from the from the ‘Heart Punch Pack’. Punch a scalloped heart from a 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 Real Red cardstock. Layer and adhere the Basic White heart to the Real Red Scalloped heart. Attach the heart to the center of the ‘Detailed Band’ die cut with the dimensionals.

Adhere the sentiment panel to the left side of the card front ‘only’, both sides need to swing freely.

I love finishing the inside of my cards with the leftovers from the front. After die cutting the overlapped front flaps the narrow remnants left behind are perfect for embellishing the inside of the card. The picture below demonstrates how you can use yours. For the finishing touch simply stamp the greeting in Real Red ink
