Hello Friends… It feels like summer here in Kansas today, the sun is shining brightly and is hot already! ‘The She Shed Tornado Shelter’ has been inactive for the last couple of days due to visiting grandkids. Yes… they’re the one sure thing that can draw Gram from her ‘She Shed’! We’ve being busy playing games, fishing, etc. However, I thought I’d share one of the most memorable events… the burial/funeral for two baby birds whom’s nest was blown from the tree and fell to their death on the street. The kids were so sad and insistent we bury them under a tree in our front yard, a flower and a twig cross were placed in their remembrance. It was so sweet to watch them share their compassion/sympathy for those two baby birds, priceless memories were made that will be treasured for years to come.

The design team from Stampin’ Up has really made the job easy for creating beautiful cards with little effort/expertise.

Measurements:

• Whisper White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, 2 1/4 x 3 1/4
• Misty Moonlight 4 x 5 1/4, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2
• 4 x 6 DSP print with the sunflowers and white daises on the Misty Moonlight background, 3 x 4 DSP print with the Bumble Bee colored words
• Sticker sheets

Instructions:

1. Fold card base on the score line and burnish the fold.
2. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Misty Moonlight to the card base front.
3. Trim the 4 x 6 DSP print with the sunflowers and white daisies on the Misty Moonlight background…holding the card horizontally, trim a 1/2″ off of each end of the card, turn card, trim 1/8″ off the top and bottom. Adhere the trimmed panel to the Misty Moonlight matte.
4. Cut a scalloped oval from the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 Misty Moonlight using the second to the largest scalloped oval.
5. Cut an oval from the 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Whisper White using the oval that measures approx. 1 7/8 x 2 7/8. Adhere the oval to the Misty Moonlight scalloped oval. Using dimensionals adhere the combined ovals to the center of the the DSP print.
6. Select the sticker with the sunflower and daisy bouquet from the sticker sheet. Adhere the sticker to the center of the card base front. Adhere the Misty Moonlight bow to the bottom of the oval using a dimensional.
7. Cut the word ‘LOVE’ from the 3 x 4 DSP print with the Bumble Bee colored words. Use a dimensional to adhere the sentiment to the right side of the bouquet.

• 3 x 4 DSP print with the bouquet of three sunflowers on the side of card, 3 x 4 DSP print with the Bumble Bee and Cinnamon Cider colored words

Instructions:

1. Fold card base on the score line and burnish the fold.
2. Emboss the 2 5/8 x 5 Cinnamon Cider with the multi-leaved pattern from the Greenery Embossing Folders. Adhere to the 2 7/8 x 5 1/4 Bumble Bee. Adhere 1/4″ from the card base right side edge.
3. Cut the 2 x 5 Whisper White panel using the decorative edged die from the Ornate Layers Dies.
4. Hand cut the three sunflowers from the 3 x 4 DSP and adhere along the left side of the decorative Whisper White panel.
5. Layer and adhere the Whisper White 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 to the 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 Cinnamon Cider matte. Slightly tuck and adhere the sentiment panel behind the Ornate Whisper White panel. Use dimensionals to adhere both panels to the card base front.
6. Cut the letters and words to create the sentiment, ‘A Full and Happy Heart’ from the 3 x 4 DSP that has the Bumble Bee and Cinnamon Cider words. The ‘&’ symbol is a sticker. Using dimensionals adhere the words on the 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 Whisper White panel.
7. Adhere five sequins from the Iridescent Assortment for the finishing touch.

2. Emboss the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Whisper White using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Adhere to the base card front.
3. Layer and adhere the 3 x 4 DSP print with the white and blue flowers on the Misty Moonlight background to the 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Just Jade matte. Adhere to the base card front approx. 1/4″ from the top.
4. Stamp the sentiment from Tasteful Touches, stamping slightly off centered and towards the left end of the 4 5/8 x 1 Whisper White panel using Misty Moonlight ink, Adhere to the 4 7/8 x 1 1/4 Just Jade matte. Adhere slightly over the bottom portion of the floral DSP.
5. Cut a circle using the Tasteful Labels circle die from the 2 x 2 Misty Moonlight.
6. Select the white flower from the sticker sheet and adhere using a dimensional to the Misty Moonlight circle. Using dimensionals adhere to the lower right corner of the floral panel and slightly over the right end of the sentiment panel.

Measurements:

• Whisper White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
• Just Jade 1/8″ x 11, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4
• Cinnamon Cider 4 x 5 1/4
• Bumble Bee 4 x 5 1/4
• 3 x 4 DSP with the double Sunflower providing space for a sentiment

Instructions:

1. Fold card base on the score line and burnish the fold.
2. Cut the 4 x 5 1/4 Cinnamon Cider panel diagonally from one corner to the other.
3. Cut the 4 x 5 1/4 Bumble Bee panel diagonally from one corner to the other.
4. Match the two Cinnamon Cider panels together, place the butted panels together on the paper trimmer to cut the opposite corners at a diagonal. Repeat this with this same step with the Bumble Bee panels. Note: If you don’t want to waste the extra pieces, you’re set up for a second card only in an opposite format.
5. Separate and arrange four of the pieces to your liking to create a multicolored matte. Adhere the new rectangle to the card base front.
6. Cut and adhere the 1/8″ Just Jade strips to cover the seams should any gaps occur when putting the panel back together.
7. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the 3 x 4 DSP with the double Sunflower using Coastal Cabana ink. Adhere to the 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Just Jade matte. Using dimensionals adhere the layered panel to the center of the base card front.
