Hello Friends… For those of you who don’t know me personally, I love to shop thrift stores/Goodwill’s for inspiration! Yes… call me crazy, but I love the challenge of picking up something for next to nothing and creating a masterpiece (haha) from my new found treasure! With that being said, my eyes crossed with excitement when I eyed this daisy cup at the Goodwill for .29 cents, my immediate thoughts were “I have to buy this”! So here I am sharing with you, my Daisy Combo! I hope you like it as much as I do!
This card features a side band closure that lays across the front flap of the card base.
The Whisper White card base measures 5 1/2 x 7 1/2, scored at 3 1/4. Fold on the score line and burnish the fold.
Cut a 3 x 5 1/4 Coastal Cabana panel. Use the stamp set ‘Field of Flowers’, randomly stamp three sets of flower stems in Mossy Meadow ink.
Punch eight large daisies using the ‘Daisy’ punch from Whisper White cardstock. Punch four Soft Suede 1/2″ circles, four Mossy Meadow 1/4″ circles, and four 1/8″ Coastal Cabana circles. Layer and adhere each set of circles (a total of four sets) where they stagger evenly in size. (Note: Used here to create the circles were a 1/2″ circle punch, the retired owl punch for the 1/4″ circle and 1/8″ hole punch).
Use a Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker to create lines on each flower petal or just leave it plain if that’s what you prefer. Adhere each set of petals together, to create four daisies. Use a dimensional to add the punched circles to each flower center. Adhere three of the four daisies to the 3 x 5 1/2 Coastal Cabana panel, trim the overhang where needed. The fourth daisy will be used later on the inside of the card.
For the inside of the card, cut a 4 x 5 1/8 Coastal Cabana panel. Cut a 1 x 7 7/8 Coastal Cabana band, score at 4 1/8, adhere to band to the back of the 4 x 5 1/8 Coastal Cabana panel approximately 1 1/2 from the bottom. This will create a band/base for the sentiment to be adhered too. Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base.
Cut and emboss a 3/4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White strip using the Greenery embossing folder. Adhere 1/8″ from the right edge of the inside Coastal Cabana panel.
Trim and adhere the remaining daisy to fit flush with the inside fold of the card for a pretty accent!
Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set ‘Lovely You’ on a 5/8 x 2 3/4 Whisper White strip using Coastal Cabana and Mossy Meadow ink. Adhere the Whisper White sentiment to a 3/4 x 2 7/8 Mossy Meadow matte. To complete the card adhere the combined panels to the 1″ band.
