Hello Friends… I’m sharing a little humor this afternoon from my ‘She Shed Tornado Shelter’… I had a post almost completed and ready to post and ‘POOF’ everything disappeared just like magic. LOL, it’s times like this I wish I could twitch my nose like Samantha on Bewitched and everything would immediately return as it was! TeeHee, but no such luck for me! Who knows, maybe the second post will be more interesting than the first!

Here’s a card created from yet another color challenge using Mint Macaroon, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape, with the dessert option/ theme, ‘winter’. These beautiful colors spurred the thoughts of the Northern Lights, while this card doesn’t do justice to the natural beauty of God’s majestic creation, I just had to give it a shot! Thank you Lord for the beauty you’ve created!

The cards background was created by using watercolor paper and reinkers. Apply a few drops of each color’s ink far enough apart they do not mix together, on a clear block. Saturate the entire piece of watercolor paper with water using a Water Painter. Cover the entire panel by applying one color at a time, starting with lightest color, Mint Macaroon and graduating to the darkest. If you feel your watercolor paper is drying out just apply more water. The stamp set used for the scene is called ‘Mountain Air’. Mount the solid side of the mountain ridge image up putting the detailed image next to the clear block. Use Basic Gray ink to stamp the mountain ridge approximately an inch from the top of the panel. Use the same image only this time offset the image and stamp another solid mountain ridge slightly below the first. Clean your stamp and reverse the stamp image, placing it back on the block with the detailed side up. Using Craft Whisper White ink, stamp the detailed image over the second mountain ridge. Stamp a row of pine trees in Memento Black across the base of the second mountain ridge. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set, ‘Itty Bitty Christmas’ in Versa Mark ink, heat emboss using White embossing powder. Cut three pine trees, one from each color, using the largest pine tree die from the ‘Majestic Mountain Dies’, Trim two of the trees bottom branches to bring the tree heights to where they looked pleasing to the eye. Highlight the mountains and tree branches with a white marker/pen to give the illusion of snow.
