Hello Friends… I’m what you would say… very late in posting my ‘second’ design using Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, and Old Olive, SCS Color Challenge for Tuesday, June 9th. If you should have missed viewing the first card, it was quite bright but nonetheless cheery! Here’s another take using the same colors but toned down by using Whisper White behind the colorful foliage and an elegantly embossed lower half of the Whisper White card base front.

The Mango Melody fern leaves were colored by using one of my favorite techniques, called the ‘Rock-n-Roll’. This technique is done by loading the stamp image entirely with Mango Melody ink, followed by rolling the edges of the image in Poppy Parade. This particular stamp design is excellent for this technique, as the image was created to appear to be dimensional. When adding two colors to the stamp, this adds even more of a dimensional look. It’s so easy to achieve a water-colored look, with little effort. If you’ve not given this technique a try, I highly recommend!
