I’m so excited to share one of the new bundles featured in Stampin’ Up’s! new January-June 2021 mini! This bundle will be available for purchasing on January 5th! The stamp set with it’s matching dies “Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle” #156205 is included in the Sand & Sea Suite #155980. Wow… this is an impressive suite, you must check it out!
The base card is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White panel, scored at 4 1/4. The soft underwater background was created by using Pool Party ink using the new Blending Brush. These brushes are a WOW, they provide a perfect soft background! Finish the background by stamping the bubbles in Pool Party ink, lightly stamping them off once before randomly stamping them over the blended color.
Stampin’ Up made this card so easy to create by designing one large die with all it’s contents together in one die, as pictured below. (Note: The die set also includes five additional dies, a seashell, sand dollar, starfish, and seaweed). Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Whisper White panel using the largest die.
On the Whisper White die cut, stamp the coordinating shell images in their appropriate locations using Blushing Bride, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate ink. Color the seaweed to your liking, (used here is Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Combo’s.)
Use the Seashell 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the stamped and colored die cut! Wow, this provides perfect dimension for the making of a perfect card! Attach the embossed panel to the card front using dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray ink and hand cut. Attach the sentiment to the largest seashell in the lower left corner using dimensionals.
Add Frost White Shimmer Paint to the seashells to give them a lot of shimmer! Unfortunately, the photograph provided doesn’t give justice to how pretty this card really is…
For the final touch add three Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to the each of the larger seashells.
The inside of the card was so fun… Create a soft underwater corner by using Pool Party ink and the Blending Brush. Stamp the seashells in Blushing Bride and Pool Party ink, and the seaweed in Old Olive or Mossy Meadow. Fill in the the blank areas above the shells with bubbles using Pool Party ink.
