Should you wish to participate click HERE to view the challenge.  I’d be delighted if you’d join us in this week’s color challenge CC808!   The colors I’ve selected are BumbleBee, Merry Merlot, and Mossy Meadow with the Dessert Option: Masculine!  These are great fall colors and can easily be used to make the perfect masculine card as well!

This card design features the wiper technique, pull both ends of the card simultaneously and the card hand pops up in the center.  Start by cutting a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ BumbleBee card base, score at 1 1/2″ and 3″. Emboss the 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 BumbleBee panel using the Old World Embossing Folder, you’ll have to run it through the embossing machine twice to cover the entire panel. Position the embossed panel with the score lines on the left end, fold the 1 1/2″ score line down folding the 3″ score line up.

Cut a 2 7/8 x 8 1/2 Mossy Meadow panel, stamp the Buffalo Check across the entire panel using Mossy Meadow ink. Score at 1 1/2″ and 3″. Position the panel with the score lines on the right end, fold the 3″ score line down folding the 1 1/2″ score line up.

Cut a 2 1/8 x 1 1/2 rectangle from Mossy Meadow and follow the instructions in the next three diagrams.

Flip the 2 7/8 x 8 1/2 Mossy Meadow panel to where the folds are on the right end. Apply only 1 1/2″ of adhesive to the straight end of the Mossy Meadow, adhere to the first scored panel of the BumbleBee base card.

Apply only 1 1/2″ of adhesive to the first scored panel of the 2 7/8 x 8 1/2 Mossy Meadow panel and adhere it to the straight end of the BumbleBee base card.

Stamp the chess pieces and the card hand in Merry Merlot ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the the dice in BumbleBee and Mossy Meadow ink on a Whisper White scrap as well. Hand cut all the game pieces. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set ‘Game On’ onto a 5/8 x 2 3/8 strip of Whisper White and the happy birthday from ‘Pallet Thoughts’ onto a 3/8 x 1 7/8 Whisper White strip in Merry Merlot ink.

Stamp the ‘Buffalo Check’ onto a scrap of Mossy Meadow using Mossy Meadow ink, cut a matte for each sentiment, the first measuring 3/4 x 2 1/2 and the other 1/2 x 2. Adhere the sentiments with their coordinating mattes. Cut an additional matte for the ‘Hope Your Day is All Fun and Games’ from BumbleBee cardstock measuring 1 x 2 3/4. Adhere the sentiment onto the BumbleBee matte.

Adhere all the game pieces to the card front. Adhere the card hand onto the pop up panel positioned to where the cards can’t be seen when the card is closed.
