This quick and simple card can be created in just minutes for that special someone in your life! Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White card base, scored at 5 1/2. Add a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 Melon Mambo panel to the card base front. Emboss a 3 3/4 x 5 Smokey Slate panel using the ‘Old World Paper’ embossing folder, to get the darker gray accents simply rub your Smokey Slate ink pad over the embossed ridges. Adhere this to the Melon Mambo matte. The designer paper is from ‘Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper’ pack. As for the triangle there’s no specific measurement, I eyeballed it by laying the plaid paper on the card front, drawing a pencil line where the corner should be trimmed. Adhere the plaid triangle to the left corner of the card front. Cut a sliver (1/8″) of Melon Mambo and adhere it to the top edge of the triangle to give it a finished edge. Cut a strip of Smoky Slate 1/2 x 3 3/4 and stamp the sentiment ‘my friend’ from ‘Field of Flowers’ in Memento Black ink. Adhere approximately 7/8″ from the bottom of the plaid paper. Stamp the medal image in Melon Mambo ink onto a scrap of Whisper White and hand cut. Stamp the sentiment ‘You’re the Best’ in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Smoky Slate, use the 1″ circle die from ‘Layering Circles’ to cut out the sentiment. Adhere the circle to the Melon Mambo medal using a dimensional. Stamp the ribbon image on a piece of Whisper White using Smoky Slate ink and hand cut. Adhere both the ribbon and medal at a slant to the card base front. For the finishing touch randomly add seven rhinestones.
