Hello Friends… It’ a birthday in ‘slimline’ fashion today! This beauty has been created for a young lady who’s growing up before her Grammy’s eyes, just heartbreaking! My sweet/beautiful Granddaughter has turned nine today. I’m sad to see her grow up but on the other hand so happy she is, it makes no difference the age, each year has it’s own precious/cherished memories in time!

Hey my friend… you might say Stampin’ Up doesn’t have nail polish stamps! That’s right they don’t, but they do now, if you follow my instructions! Cool. huh?

Ok, here’s the deal, when looking at the Dressed To Impress stamp images, my granddaughter is too young for make-up, so I’m thinking how can I make this set applicable to her? Hmmm… she’s into nail polish? I’m thinking ‘aha’, I can transform the perfume bottle into a bottle of nail polish, by masking the inside of the perfume bottle before stamping my image. Now for the nail polish lid/top… simply create a top to the nail polish bottle by cutting the lipstick end off the tube of lipstick, both are appropriately sized for each other and fit nicely together. It was amazing while in my pursuit to purchase nail polish I found a package of nail polish very similar in shape and size to the ones I’m wanting to create! With the purchased nail polish in hand, I’m now rummaging through my stash of Designer Paper looking for a perfect match… low and behold I found the perfect match in my (retired) ‘Best Dressed Designer Series Paper’, YAY!

This slimline card measures 7 x 8 1/2, scored at 3 1/2. The 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 Highland Heather matte is embossed using the ‘Wrapped in Texture’ embossing folder. The 7/8 x 8 1/4 strip of Designer Series Paper has been adhered in two separate strips due to the DSP only being six inches in length to begin with. Each bottle has a tag punched from each cardstock color, Purple Posy, Highland Heather, and Petal Pink using the Gift Bow Builder punch. The tag was accented/highlighted with a Chalk Marker/white gel pen and the small white heart was die cut using ‘Stitched Be Mine Dies’. All the nail polish bottles are colored with Wink of Stella Glitter, including the mini tag. The triangles have a matte of Petal Pink with a top layer of ‘Best Dressed Designer Series Paper’. The sentiment is from the stamp set ‘Best Year’ and has been stamped in Highland Heather ink on Purple Posy cardstock. Hand cut the sentiment and adhere to the card front at a slant.

To finish off the inside, on the right side adhere another strip of 7/8 x 8 1/4 strip of Designer Series Paper in two separate strips (due to the DSP only being six inches in length to begin with). Die cut a Petal Pink heart using the ‘Stitched Be Mine Dies’, then emboss using the Wrapped In Texture embossing folder. Stamp the sentiment from ‘Best Year’ in Highland Heather ink on Purple Posy and hand cut. Hand cut a few flowers from the ‘Best Dressed Designer Paper’ and adhere to the top left of the heart. Adhere the sentiment at a slant inside the heart. Adhere the heart to the inside of the card.
