Hello Friends… No I’ve not lost my mind! Lol! Well I guess I’ll put it this way, it all depends on who you ask! Haha! I’ve had a few requests for the instructions on how to create my paper trimmer that I created a few months ago. I thought rather than editing the post, I’d just post it again. So if this is a repeat for you, I send my apologies. However, should you have missed the first posting, I’d be thrilled if you took a gander at it!
Don’t you think this would be a fun way to recruit?
Supplies:
- Stamp Set: Stargazing #149295 (Retired)
- Cardstock: Whisper White #100730, Basic Gray #121044, Smoky Slate #131202
- Ink: Basic Gray #149165
- Miscellaneous: Paper Trimmer #152392, Stitched Be Mine #151814, Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220, ½” Circle Punch #119869, Detailed Trio #146320
Measurements:
- Whisper White: 4 ¼ x 11, scored at 5 ½, ¾ x 5 ¼, 3/8 x 2 ¼, (2) ½” x ¾,
- Basic Gray: 4 x 5 ¼, Small scrap
- Smoky Slate: 3 ¾ x 4 ½, ¾ x 3 ½, 1/16 x 5 ½, 7/8 x 2 3/8, Small scrap
Instructions:
- Fold card base on the score line and burnish the fold.
- Use the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners of the 4 x 5 ½ Basic Gray panel. Adhere to the card base front.
- Punch two ½” circles on each end of the ¾ x 5 ¼ Whisper White. Using your paper trimmer cut the center out of the strip leaving the open space approximately 3/8” wide.
- Make ‘horizontal’ and ‘vertical’ score lines on the 3 ¾ x 4 ½ panel ¼ apart to create a grid type pattern. Trace and cut this panel to the provided template on page 3. Adhere to the card base on top of the Basic Gray matte.
- Make ‘horizontal’ lines ¼ apart on the ¾ x 3 ½ strip of Smoky Slate. Adhere the strip to the left side of the card front on top of the Basic Gray Matte.
- Position your ¾ x 5 ¼ Whisper White strip on the right side of card front to get an idea of where you want to adhere the 1/8 x 5 ¼ strip of Basic Gray (this is to represent the blade guide). Adhere the strip in place.
- From the set, ‘Stitched Be Mine’ select the die that has multiple hearts of all sizes. Cut one large and one small heart from both scraps of Basic Gray and Smoky Slate. Adhere with dimensionals one of each of the large hearts to each ½ x ¾ Whisper White rectangles (these are to represent the cutter blades). Adhere both rectangles to the ¾ x 5 ¼ Whisper White strip.
- Center and adhere the ¾ x 5 ¼ Whisper White strip over the 1/8 x 5 ¼ Basic Gray cutter guide.
- Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set ‘Stargazing’ in Basic Gray ink onto the ¾ x 2 ¼ Whisper White panel. Adhere the stamped panel to the 7/8 x 2 3/8 Basic Gray matte. Adhere the remaining two small hearts of each color to the upper right corner of the sentiment. Adhere slightly slanted to the card front using dimensionals.
- Add three rhinestones for the finishing touch!
