Hello Friends… It’s Christmas in July in the ‘She Shed Tornado Shelter’! I’m once again participating in a color challenge using Pretty Peacock, Bumble Bee, and Cherry Cobbler with theme being Christmas! Here are the colors:

What ya’ think of my combining the new Best Plaid Builder Dies with the Jar Punch? I’m thinking it’s pretty dog gone cute! I used the colors of this weeks challenge… Bumble Bee, Pretty Peacock, and Cherry Cobbler to create the plaid and its ‘matching’ hand stamped designer paper. It’s pretty awesome having the ability to create and customize your own designer paper when nothing in your stash matches! The ‘spritz of dots’ used here, is a stamp from ‘Christmas Gleaming’. All the die cut hearts were created by using the die set… ‘Stitched Be Mine’. This is probably my most used die set… I love it! The Whisper White heart was accented once again using the ‘spritz of dots’ in Bumble Bee ink and adding the adornment of a Cherry Cobbler heart to each area. The sentiment from ‘Itty Bitty Christmas’ was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. The jar from ‘Jar of Flowers’ was stamped on Vellum Cardstock using StazOn ink, then punched out using the Jar Punch. Note: (I mask out the inside lines of the jar using masking tape, prior to stamping the image). The holly/berries were stamped on Whisper White using Memento Black ink, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. The holly/berries were hand cut and attached using dimensionals. The heart and jar were also attached using dimensionals.

The inside of the card was decorated using the extra/additional elements created for the front of the card. I often create multiples while creating. I’m one who often starts creating without a clue as to what direction my project will go, LOL! Therefore I’ll end with extra ‘stuff’ that I use for the inside of the card. Used here is a 1/4″ strip trimmed from the front panel and adhered to a Bumble Bee matte as shown below. The strip has been embellished with holly that was stamped and colored for the finishing touch.

• Whisper White: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, 2 1/2 x 5 (for designer paper Note: 1/4″ needs trimmed off for the inside of card), 3 1/2 x 4 (heart), 3 x 3 (holly)
• Cherry Cobbler: 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 (hearts), 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (plaid — trimmed to 1 5/8 x 5 1/4)
• Pretty Peacock: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (plaid — trimmed to 1 5/8 x 5 1/4), 2 3/8 x 5 1/4 (matte for the designer paper on front of card)
• Bumble Bee: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (plaid — trimmed to 1 5/8 x 5 1/4), 1/2 x 4 1/8 (matte for inside decorative strip)
