Hello Friends! Even a rainy day here in the Heartland can’t keep these cards from playing notes of love and cheer! I’m sad to say the set used to create these bright musical cards will be retiring June 2nd and it’s availability is only while supplies last, so don’t procrastinate in ordering your fun instrumental set today.

If you’ve visited my blog before, you’ve seen I often stage my pictures with second hand treasures I find in my most favorite places to shop… yes, the thrift store, Goodwill, and last but not least, garage sales! I love to shop for what I call ‘my inspiration’, chuckle, chuckle. I have to openly admit my husband either rolls his eyes or turns a blind eye to my bringing these treasures into my ‘She Shed Tornado Shelter’. I’ve gotta’ question for you, ‘have you ever hid something in the trunk of your car and waited until your husband left the house to bring it in? Well once again, I admit, I’m guilty! ‘LOL’! The guitar with a metal treble clef shown below was a prized treasure I found at the Goodwill for $2.00. When I picked this up I thought it would be great paired with Music of the Heart stamp set. It’s original paint was a drab gold and not very festive, so I thought it would be fun to cover it in the ‘See of Silhouette’ designer paper. Wow, what a transformation! What do you think?

The four card set came together quite nicely and matches the repurposed guitar perfectly. Do you know a musician who’d like to receive a gift set like one? It’s definitely a heartfelt gift, that could be given from one artist to another.

This card features the piano image stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White card stock, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. Paper piecing could have been an option as well by stamping the piano onto designer paper and hand cutting. However in this case, it’s most likely all the colors wouldn’t have been captured within the small image, so with thought in mind I opted to hand coloring instead.
