Hello Friends… It’s me reporting from my ‘She Shed Tornado Shelter’! Today’s card features the stamp set ‘Sailing Home’ and it’s matching Designer Series Paper, ‘Come Sail Away’. This is the perfect masculine card for sending a word of encouragement. You know… guys like receiving words of encouragement too, especially these days.
Well friends, I’m sending you well wishes, and hopes that your spirits are high and that you’re surrounded with love. May life be smooth sailing for you and yours…

3. Using the Stitched Rectangle, ‘third’ from the largest (approx. 4 1/8 x 2 3/4) cut both 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 Night of Navy panels
4. Using the Stitched Rectangle ‘fourth’ from the largest (approx. 3 3/4 x 2 3/8) cut both 2 3/4 x 2 1/2 Very Vanilla panels.
5. Using Sahara Sand ink stamp the large and small ship on ‘one’ of the Very Vanilla stitched rectangles. (Note: I stamped off once on my paper to give a lighter image of the ships.) Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the sentiment over the top of the ships.
6. Adhere the the Very Vanilla stamped panel to ‘one’ of the Night of Navy panels.
7. Cut two 8″ Braided Linen Twines, tie a square/reef knot placing the knot in the center wrapping and adhering the ends to the back of the Night of Navy panel. With the closed card, center and adhere the stamped panel to the Sahara Sand wing/flap. Here’s a quick tutorial I recorded on the easy way to tie a square/reef knot.
8. Open the card’s front wing/flap, ‘evenly’ place and adhere the remaining Night of Navy panel to the back of the panel’s front, creating a nice finished look when the card is opened.
9. Open card, adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Night of Navy to the inside of card.
10. Layer and adhere the 3 3/4 x 5 ‘knotted’ patterned dsp to the Night of Navy.
11. Center and adhere the remaining Very Vanilla rectangle to the center of ‘knotted’ dsp, creating space for a signature.
12. Adhere the 1 1/8 x 4 Night of Navy to the left front of card.
13. Layer and adhere the 7/8 x 4 striped dsp to the Night of Navy panel.
Thank you for stopping in, I appreciate it so much!
Wow, I love your twine embellishing… so cool!
I love that knot, and you make it look so simple! I visualize using it on a scrap layout, too. Thanks LeAnn.
